Nissan unveils 'SSS Heritage Edition' Pulsar
Sharing the 80s-inspired livery that adorned the Caruso/Fiore Nissan Altima V8 Supercar at Mount Panorama, the SSS Heritage Edition Pulsar has been released to mark the 30th Anniversary of Nissan's first pole position at the 'Great Race' in 1984.
"Nissan has a proud motorsport heritage in Australia, particularly at Bathurst," said Nissan Motor Co. (Australia) Managing Director and CEO Richard Emery.
"It is fitting that this limited edition carries the same colours at the Nissan Bluebird Turbo, the first turbocharged car to claim outright pole position for the Bathurst 1000."
Based on the Pulsar SSS turbo hatch, the Heritage Edition features distinctive Nissan red and blue factory racing stripes and branding outside, with heritage edition floor mats, head rests and badging inside. A Nissan Motorsport heritage team shirt is also included with each unit sold.
The Pulsar SSS Heritage Edition is available with a six-speed manual or Xtronic transmission, and will come in a choice of Polar White or Brilliant Silver colours.
A strictly limited edition of just 40 units, the SSS Heritage Edition will go on sale later this month, priced at $28,990 driveaway for the manual transmission version and $31,631 driveaway for the Xtronic auto.
