Pininfarina 'Sergio' tribute coming
Pininfarina have released a sneak peek of the 'Sergio' bespoke concept car ahead of its world premiere at Geneva on March 5. The company say the concept, created to honour the man who headed the company for 40 years, "renews the spirit of the extraordinary achievements born from Sergio Pininfarina's pencil, translating it into a modern vision in the name of exclusivity, innovation and passion."
Forever linked with Ferrari, some of the famous designs for the Prancing Horse to be created under Sergio's tenure include the Dino 206 GT, 365 GTB, Testarossa, Enzo, 512BB, and, most recently, the F12berlinetta. Pininfarina famously rebodied an Enzo in the style of the Ferrari P4/5 racer for James Glickenhaus and have also applied their individual touch to marques as diverse as Fiat, Rolls-Royce, Nash and Cadillac.
Universally recognized as the "Maestro" of Italian style, Sergio Pininfarina's creative genius covered the post-War golden age of great Italian coachbuilders through to the modern industry.
The Sergio will be officially unveiled at the Pininfarina stand at Geneva on Tuesday March 5 at 1:00PM (Swiss time). Further details at www.pininfarina.com
