Rare Sting Ray coupe for Shannons Sydney auction
The Sting Ray on offer is the one-year-only 'split window' coupe, which has become one of the most collectable Corvettes from the early 'C2' era.
Finished in Sebring Silver with a black interior and triple-eared factory knock-off aluminium wheels, the left hand drive Split Window Corvette being auctioned is an original L75 327/300hp car with a four-speed manual gearbox, making it a great driver.
A fully photographed and documented ground up restoration was undertaken approximately 10 years ago and the Sting Ray still presents beautifully. As it also has a host of desirable features, including factory power steering and power windows, Shannons expect it to sell in the $82,000-$90,000 range.
Also consigned for the October 21 auction are a 1969 Monaro GTS 350, 1974 Holden Torana L34 replica, very original 1978 XC Falcon Cobra and a restomod-style 1965 Ford Galazie packing a hi-po 460ci V8.
Shannons Sydney Classic Auction will take place at Shannons' Sydney auction rooms, 65 Reserve Road, St. Leonards, NSW from 7:00PM on Monday, October 21.
