Road Trip Australia' postage stamps
A re-issue of their popular 'Road Trip Australia' 60 cent stamp issue from 2012, the 2013 issue features five all-new illustrations by Aussie artist, Gavin Ryan.
Quirky choices for this year's stamp set include a Leyland P76, Toyota Tiara and what appears to be a mid-1980s Mitsubishi Sigma wagon. The other two are FJ40 series Toyota LandCruisers.
Ryan's illustrations place the cars in iconic areas of Australia's key urban centres - Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra and the Gold Coast.
In addition to individual stamps, a souvenir pack (which includes 10 x 60-cent stamps from both 2012 and 2013 Road Trip Australia stamp issues in a single self-adhesive sheetlet) is also available, as well as a miniature sheet, first day cover, stamp pack, set of five maxicards, and booklets of 10 or 20 x 60c stamps.
The Road Trip Australia stamp issue is available from participating Australia Post retail outlets (via mail order on 1800 331 794 and online at auspost.com.au/stamps) while stocks last.
