Seton debuts new XB coupe at Muscle Car Masters
Running under the "Speed FX Racing" team owned by Jim Morton, theXB Coupe is billed as the same model that Alan Moffat raced at Bathurst back in the day, but the TCM rules that allow modern componentry mean thatSeton's XB can produce around 700hp, rather than the 380hp of Moffat's race package.
Jointly prepared by Ford Performance Racing and Classic Motorsport, the XB proved to be quick right out of the box, delivering fourth and second place finishes for Seton in its debut. The round was won by Andrew Miedecke in the Chevy Camaro, but John Bowe was the earlystar, winning the first two races. Miedecke won the final race, ahead of Seton and Jim Richards, as well as the round. Miedecke now leads the TCM Championship ahead of Bowe and Richards.
During Muscle Car Masters, the car wore 'Day For Daniel' signage, an initiative of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, promoting the foundation's annual awareness day on 28th October 2011. Further information on 'Day for Daniel' can be found at: www.danielmorcombe.com.au
