SEVEN82MOTORS’ October auction goes LIVE on 4 October

While previous SEVEN82MOTORS auctions have been big, none have been bigger than their October auction. More than 80 cars have been consigned, of which 11 are being offered with no reserve. And with this auction running over the Bathurst 1000 weekend, there’s a strong race car theme, too.

Online bidding gets underway on Friday, 4 October and runs to Monday, 14 October.

Genuine and replica race cars in this auction include an LX Torana SS hatch with competition history in Australia and New Zealand, a ’62 Chevy Bel Air tribute to 1960 NASCAR Grand National Champion Rex White, a replica ‘Sox & Martin’ Plymouth Duster drag car, a genuine NASCAR Dodge Charger from 2005, Group NC-spec LJ Torana GTR XU-1 and an R-Code Ford Galaxie500 XL originally intended for Aussie racing legend Ian ‘Pete’ Geoghegan, but raced on the quarter mile in the US instead.

Aussie muscle consigned for this auction includes a genuine XY Falcon GT-HO Phase III, LH Torana SL/R 5000, XA Falcon GT sedan, HT Monaro GTS 350, a VC HDT Commodore, a 2002 HSV GTS coupe, 2010 HSV GXP Clubsport, FPV BA Falcon GT and the first A9X Torana built by GM-H.

There’s plenty of American muscle up for grabs, too, including Big Block-equipped Camaros and Chevelles, a rare ’66 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S, a Yenko Deuce replica with built 427, ’76 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, Mach 1 Mustang with a supercharged V8, SS/RS Camaros (’67 and ’69), a genuine ’70 Dodge Challenger T/A, ’70 Plymouth ‘Cuda AAR, a 2022 Chev Corvette 3LT and a one-of-48 2017 Yenko Camaro, to name a few.

There’s also a splash of Hollywood in this auction, with an Eleanor Mustang replica and Dodge Charger ‘General Lee’ replica consigned.

Online bidding for the SEVEN82MOTORS August auction opens from 6:00PM (QLD time) on Friday, 4 October and runs to Monday, 14 October. The close of bidding - from 7:00PM on the 14th - will be live streamed, kicking off at 6:30PM (QLD time). 

Registered bidders can make inspections at SEVEN82MOTORS’ Gold Coast facility (2 Palings Court, Nerang, QLD) by appointment throughout the online auction period, while the premises will be open to the public on the following days:

- Thursday 10 October from 5:00PM to 8:00PM (Thursday Late Night Shopping)

- Saturday, 12 October from 8:00AM to 2:00PM (Saturday Show Day)

In addition, SEVEN82MOTORS will be open on Monday 14 October from 9:00AM to 4:00PM (Last Minute Monday) for genuine bidders to make last-minute inspections (no public admission on this day).

NOTE: above times are Queensland time, NOT daylight savings time.

On the Open Days, there’s much more to see and experience than just the cars. The Brass Monkey Barber Shop will be open for haircuts and cut-throat shaves, while a DJ and the ‘Rolla Girls’ bring the vibes. The amazing neon collection (one of Australia’s biggest), soda collection, Texaco garage display and Benny’s memorabilia are worth the visit, too.

Garage tours are available, while Big Benny’s Diner is where you can fuel up with some classic American diner food.
