Shannons 'Legends of Motorsport' returns

Broadcast on 7Mate, Shannons Legends of Motorsport brings to life a range of archival footage from Seven's extensive library, from the 1960s through to the 1990s.

 

Guests for the second series, which starts on September 19, include Dick Johnson, Glenn Seton, George Fury, Kevin Bartlett, Fred Gibson, John Bowe, Brad Jones, Bob Morris and others.

 

They reflect on the cars they drove, the great races and tough times that all contributed to Australia's amazing motorsport history. There will be some surprise special guests, too.

 

This series will also focus on three particular Bathurst 1000 races in three individual episodes - 1972, 1973 and 1990 - as the combatants that fought those epic battles at Mount Panorama re-live their encounters.

 

Airing on Saturdays on 7Mate from September 20 (check local guides), Shannons Legends of Motorsport Series 2 can also be viewed online, along with Series 1 episodes, at Shannons Club in the video section.
