Sign up for Rally Calder
Supplementary regulations for the Bosch ARC, CAMS Australian Tarmac Rally Championship, the Australian Side-by-Side Challenge and the ARC Just Car Insurance Forum Battle events being run as part of the giant Rally Calder weekend were published today and are now available online at rally.com.au (follow the Rally Calder links).
According to CEO of the Bosch ARC and Event Director for Rally Calder, Scott Pedder, competitors interested in being a part of the inaugural Rally Calder presented by East Coast Bullbars should get their entries in fast as fields will quickly fill up ahead of the entry deadline in early February.
"I want to make it clear, particularly for those interested in competing in the Bosch ARC event, that you don't have to be registered for the National Championship to enter Rally Calder," said Scott.
"Entries will be allocated to registered Bosch ARC crews first and then spaces will go on a first come first served basis, so if you are not running the Championship you are more than welcome but you will need to get your entries in early to ensure you are a part of this unique new rally event. Due to the number of disciplines running at the event we may have to restrict competitors in certain categories" he said.
"This really is a celebration of motor sport and we want as many people to be a part of it, particularly the Bosch ARC category because it is a history making event in Australian rallying.
"Diversity is one of the core values of rallying and Rally Calder will provide a vast array of different types of rally action and motor sport.
"We have already had a very promising response to the ARC Just Car Insurance Forum Battle and we have been fielding a number of inquiries from tarmac competitors keen to be a part of the CAMS Tarmac Rally component. I also want to make the important point here that vehicle eligibility for the tarmac rally event also extends to suit CAMS Targa event regulations " he added.
Rally Calder, presented by East Coast Bullbars, is also the inaugural round of the Australian Side by Side Rally Challenge and Pedder is especially excited about this new form of motor sport.
"It is going to be a fantastic addition to Rally Calder and by extension the BOSCH ARC and based on enquiries over the past few months since the announcement of the formation of this new series I think we will have good numbers at Calder and for the other 3 events throughout the year. I thank and congratulate CanAm and Polaris for their commitment here."
As well as event supplementary regulations, Technical and Sporting regulations for the Australian Side by Side Rally Challenge are now available via rally.com.au.
Tickets for Rally Calder presented by ECB are now on sale through Foxtix with further initiatives and attractions to be announced in coming weeks.
