Simmons begins pro driving career

The Academy, which pits gamers from around the world in a series of real and virtual driving challenges, was won by the 26-year-old Brisbane courier at the competition's finale in August.

One of six Aussies who went over to Silverstone in the UK for the final, Simmons beat out gamers from the United States, Turkey, North Africa and Mexico to win the life-changing prize.

 

Simmons is now back in the UK to begin the intense Nissan Driver Development Program to prepare him for life as a NISMO Athlete.

 

He will compete in a number of races in the UK before taking on his first international event - the 24 Hours of Dubai on 15-16 January, 2016.
