Subaru adds 'Hyper Blue' to WRX and BRZ
Just 200 WRX Premiums with Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmissions, 50 WRX STI Premiums (manual) and 50 BRZs with option pack* (manual and automatic), will be sold in the distinctive tone, all of which will be available in showrooms from October 1.
Subaru Australia Managing Director, Nick Senior, said: "This will be a rare opportunity for 300 buyers to purchase a Subaru in a very distinctive hue.
"We feel that like many other of our special edition colours in the past, these vehicles will be keenly sought after in the years to come.
"There's always massive interest in our sports special edition versions. Combine that with their proven track record of excellent retained value, and you have every reason to get the blues."
Combined WRX and WRX STI sales of 1,936 were up 7.7 per cent year-to-date to the end of July, putting them on a par with the late 1990s heyday of the Mark 1 WRX originals.
Senior added: "The fun factor is always high with BRZ and WRX. These specials amp it up with a head-turning colour scheme that only adds to their appeal."
Pricing and specification will be announced closer to the October on-sale date.
