Subaru announce 'RS40' pack for WRX
Subaru Aus says the RS40, the last special edition on the current WRX platform, will be priced at $44,490 MLP*, and adds more than $7,000 of value-packed features that pay tribute to Subaru's motorsport heritage.
The additional features are:
-Recaro seats with blue coloured Alcantara inserts
-STI rear spoiler
-STI front lip spoiler
-STI short shift gear assembly
-STI flexible tower strut brace
-Gold-coloured 17" WRX alloy wheels
-Exclusive RS40 decals
-Numbered RS40 internal badge
The WRX RS40 is only available in sedan and is strictly limited to 300 units, all in WR Blue Mica paint. WRX RS40 is available for pre-order now and will be in showrooms from the end of August.
Subaru Managing Director, Nick Senior, said: "This feature-packed special edition makes a direct visual link to the original World Rally Blue WRXs that did so much to grow Subaru's performance credentials globally.
"WR Blue remains a customer favourite colour in the WRX palette, so it's entirely fitting that this last-in-line special edition of the current car carries the famous blue and gold combination."
He added: "WRX has always been a winner for customers in the retained value stakes and the special editions in particular give it even more cache, so with only 300 of these available, we anticipate high demand."
