The Australian Export Awards
"The Australian Export Awards are one of Australia's premier business awards programs and I encourage all Australian exporting businesses to take advantage of the increased profile these Awards can provide your company", Mr. Truss said. Award entries are open to all Australian exporters of all sizes and industries. Awards categories range from small to medium businesses to large, advanced manufacturing. Last year's 83 finalists generated export earnings of more than $12.5 billion in total and directly employed more than 36,000 Australians. The 2007 Australian Export Awards consists of a series of eight State and Territory export awards, recognising excellence and innovation in exporting across 12 categories.
Category winners from each State and Territory are announced throughout September and October and automatically progress as national finalists to the 2007 Australian Export Awards. From there, 12 national category winners and the overall 2007 'DHL Australian Exporter of the Year' is chosen. The 'best of the best' will be announced at a Gala Awards Dinner, presented by Warren Truss, in Brisbane this November. There's nothing to stop automotive component and spare parts exporters from entering, so if you think your overseas ventures are worthy of an award (and we don't mean the last piss-up you had in Bali!!), go to www.exportawards.com.au
