The Bend adds Mustang GT hot laps

Backed by Ford and specially prepared for circuit use, the fleet of Ford Mustang GTs feature a 5.0-litre V8 and a range of track-ready modifications, including a roll-cage, racing harnesses and Ford Performance Track Handling Packs.

“What a great opportunity to drive an iconic model like the Ford Mustang, a car with a genuine racing pedigree, around such a world-class circuit,” said Ford Product Communications Manager, Damion Smy.

“Mustang belongs in racing, whether it’s in GT4, NASCAR or Supercar guise, and The Bend’s program makes that visceral on-track experience available on a circuit where the Ford Performance Mustang Supercar will race this August.”

The Drive and Ride experiences were launched in March, with special introductory pricing of just $79.00/person for two hot laps driving on The Bend’s 4.95km International Circuit – the same layout the Supercars will use at The Bend SuperSprint this 23-25 August. This offer is for a limited time only, with other packages also available.

The International Circuit is one of several track layouts at The Bend, with others including a 7.77km GT circuit, Stadium Circuit, Skidpan and even a 4WD Adventure Park.
“Our motor racing circuit is there to be enjoyed, not just by racing car drivers, but anyone who wants to experience the unique thrill and adrenaline of driving a performance vehicle to the limit in a safe environment,” said Sam Shahin, Managing Director of The Bend Motorsport Park.
