Tickford Bathurst 77 Special 1 for sale

Released in 2017, the ’77 Special features livery inspired by the famous 1-2 finish for the Ford XC Falcons at Bathurst in 1977, where Allan Moffat led team mate Colin Bond to victory.

Based on the Mustang GT, the Bathurst ’77 Special is more than just a sticker pack, though: Tickford retune the GT’s 5.0-litre V8 and add a high-performance supercharger to produce power in excess of 542kW and torque of 827Nm.

A cold-air induction system, custom intercooler, high-flow fuel injectors and a revised fuel pump, low temp radiator and a bespoke 3-inch exhaust system unique to this package are all part of the specification, too.

A suspension lowering kit, rear spoiler and diffuser, 20-inch alloys, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres and a Wilwood brake upgrade are also fitted, with bespoke touches inside to match the exterior, an upgraded steering wheel and numbered build plaque. 

The car offered for sale through Tickford is the first Bathurst ’77 Special Mustang built (of a planned run of 77 units) and was part of a private collection until recently.
