Toyota to produce more A70/A80 Supra spares
Toyota Gazoo Racing are expanding their reproduction parts programme for the third (A70) and fourth (A80) generation Supra, following on from the initial release under the GR Heritage Parts programme more than two years ago.
Available globally, products released under this programme are classified as genuine Toyota parts and will carry a factory warranty, but production will be limited. Toyota don’t clarify how many units of each item will be made, but once each batch of reproduction parts are sold, new batches will not be made.
Announced on 29 June, the new additions for the A70 Supra include clutch master and release cylinders, brake and heater hoses and an air conditioner control panel knob initially. In August, a new front badge will be available, followed by rear badging, front door garnish, side protection mouldings and lower front suspension arm bushes.
New parts for the A80 Supra are less extensive, limited to an oxygen sensor and front bumper cover.
It should be noted that not all these new parts will be available in all markets, with only the Japanese market to receive all items from the latest release.
Production of the new reproduction parts range got underway in July and will continue into August, with rollout to market from September. Given the limited production, each new item is expected to sell out.
Currently, GR Heritage Parts are only available for the 2000GT and A70/A80 Supra, but Toyota Gazoo Racing welcome requests from owners of classic sporty Toyotas on what parts should be reproduced next. Submitted through toyotagazooracing.com/gr/heritage, these requests help Toyota Gazoo Racing determine which parts to revive for the next phase of the programme.
