Tread Cemetery' burnout event - coming soon
What will make Tread Cemetery different from all other forms of past burnout competition is the concept of Team Burnouts. This is a WORLD FIRST that the organisers of Tread Cemetery have put a lot of time and thought into for this debut event, with plans to expand the concept into a national series.
Previously burnout comps have pitted individual drivers against each other. Tread Cemetery will combine up to 100 cars, including some of the biggest names in burnouts, like Jake Myers (S1CKO), Mick Brasher (ULEGAL), Steve Edsall (ROGUE), Ross Heasley (MRBADQ), Steve Titcumb (CRITTA), Steve Nogas (KILLA-B) and James North (FRYZEM), to name a few.
These drivers will be grouped into 20 teams of 5 cars each, with evocative team names like 'Donut Kings,' 'Rat Catchers,' 'Tyre Massacre,' 'Fryers' and more. Teams will play off against each other, with a knockout, footy-style finals format leading to the '5 vs 5 Grand Final' which will decide the inaugural Tread Cemetery title. Of 'World Burnout Champion Team'.
There's a bunch of cash and prizes on offer, not just for the entrants, but also for the fans, as there's much, much more to Tread Cemetery than just the burnouts.
The Avalon event will feature a Show n Shine for all sorts of hot rods and custom cars, as well as a Door Slammer display, Harley Davidson display, hydro drag boats, sprint cars, V8 Supercar display and more. There's also a special Kiddie Corner with a bunch of activities to keep the kids happy at this event for the whole family.
Tread Cemetery - where tyres come to die! Will take place at Avalon Raceway, Geelong, on Saturday, November 1st. Entry is only $25 for adults, $10 for kids 12 - 17, with kids under 12 FREE. A family ticket (2 adults, 3 kids) is only $60.
