VACC Cavalcade of the Vines 2008
From vintage cars to vintage wine - the "VACC Cavalcade to the Vines" is set to be a corker. Hundreds of cars will start their engines outside VACC House, 464 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, before winding their way down to the Mornington Peninsula, before the cavalcade arrives at its destination, the Morning Star Estate, Mt Eliza. Nissan has been confirmed as the feature marque for the 2008 "VACC Cavalcade to the Vines" event which will also pay tribute to the 40th Anniversary of the Nissan Datsun Sports Owners Club. Once assembled at the venue, there will be plenty of entertainment to suit all tastes. Participants and visitors will be encouraged to mingle among the cavalcade.
In a first of its kind, there will be an exhibition of Automotive Art in the Gallery. And the music will be provided by the Jack Morris Big Band and Frankston RSL Pipes and Drums Band. Morning Star Estate will provide the perfect backdrop for the occasion. It is recognised as having one of the area's oldest vineyards. The Estate boasts 22 acres of manicured gardens and 30 acres of vines plus, of course, the century old mansion, "Morning Star" which enjoys panoramic views of Port Philip Bay stretching from the Bellarine Peninsula to Melbourne. Scooter owners and riders are also invited to enter and enjoy the day.
