Win a new Corvette Stingray
The Australian allocation of the 2022 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray was accounted for months ago, but there’s still a chance to secure a brand-new MY22 Corvette this year, via the GM ‘Dream Machine’ competition.
In what General Motors Australia and New Zealand (née GM-H) say is an example of their ongoing commitment to Holden owners via the Holden Certified Service Network and GM customers via the GMSV Service Network and GM Trade Parts Club, the Dream Machine competition will see one lucky person win a new C8 Corvette Stingray at the end of this year.
“We’re thrilled to offer GM customers the chance to win a new C8 Corvette Stingray and I can’t wait to have the privilege of handing the lucky winner the keys to this mid-engine marvel,” said Paul Rietveld, Director Aftersales GM Australia and New Zealand.
“The Dream Machine competition reflects GM’s desire to instil confidence for our customers and a commitment to the Holden Certified Service Network by offering one of the most desirable new sports cars on the planet as the prize.”
The RHD Corvette offered through the Dream Machine promotion is the entry-level 2LT coupe that’s powered by a mid-mounted, naturally-aspirated 6.2-litre V8 engine, producing 370kW and 637Nm, driving the rear wheels though an eight-speed automatic transmission and capable of reaching 100km/h from standstill in 2.9 seconds.
As standard, the Australian-delivered Corvettes also receive the Z51 Performance Pack that’s optional in other markets. This includes a dual-mode exhaust system, improved engine cooling, an electronic LSD, larger Brembo brakes, adaptive Magnetic Ride Control suspension, a front splitter and rear spoiler, head-up display and 14-speaker Bose sound system.
The 2022 C8 Corvette Stingray 2LT coupe is valued at $144,990 + ORCs. Convertibles and 3LT spec versions increase the price, while the Carbon Edition coupe is listed at $189,900 + ORCs.
Three-time Supercar champion and seven-time Bathurst winner Craig Lowndes is one of the few Aussies to have driven the new C8 Corvette Stingray ahead of its Australian release and can attest to its abilities.
“I was fortunate enough to have a chance to drive the all-new C8 Corvette at Tailem Bend last year and it was a phenomenal experience,” Lowndes said. “It’s going to be the perfect addition to the winner’s garage.”
The Dream Machine competition is open to the public and trade in Australia and New Zealand. For public entry, complete a Logbook or Essentials Service at a Holden Certified Service Network or GMSV Certified Service Network outlet. Trade entry is via purchase of Holden Genuine or ACDelco parts by a GM Trade Parts member.
“With more than a million Holden vehicles still on the road, we’re taking this opportunity to remind all Holden owners that the best place to maintain their Holden is at one of 200+ Certified Service Centres in Australia and New Zealand,” Rietveld added.
The Dream Machine competition opened on 1 March, 2022, and closes on 30 November, 2022, with the winner drawn on 28 December, 2022.
