Seller's Description
I purchased this 1929 Model A Roadster as an unfinished project. The previous owner did a great job replacing the floor and rebuilding the original 4-cylinder engine and gearbox. A frame-off restoration was completed by a well-known restoration workshop. Newly fabricated boot lid and bicycle guards complement the original body and the candy apple red paint contrasts nicely with the satin black frame and accessories. The classic black, tuck and roll interior reinforces the classic styling, as does the retro reproduction gauge cluster. The performance-focus rebuild of the original 4-cylinder engine includes a Riley intake manifold, a pair of Stomberg 97 carbies, Mallory distributor, 12-volt conversion, electric water pump and custom ceramic coated header and exhaust. The additional power provided by these upgrades, combined with a low curb weight, provides surprising performance and a very enjoyable, ‘seat-of-your-pants’ driving experience. In recognition of the quality workmanship of the build and classic hot rod styling, Cruizin Magazine featured the roadster in its May 2016 issue. Since completion, the roadster has been garaged and travelled no more than a few of hundred kilometres. It is currently registered in Queensland (full, unrestricted, transferrable registration). The personalised ‘A29TIN’ number plates will be included in the sale for Queensland residents. Please call Leon for further information or to arrange an inspection
