Seller's Description
The Ulster is an iconic Austin 7 model. The Ulster was produced in recognition of the racing success of the Austin 7 racing team in the late 1920’s. The distinctive body was built on a lowered chassis and could be used as transport during the week and with the mudguards & headlights removed and the windscreen folded down, could be raced on weekends. This Ulster replica was built over several decades by and Austin 7 enthusiast. The body was imported from Chris Gould in England in 1984. It was placed on a lowered Austin 7 chassis with 4 wheel girling brakes. It has a ‘high performance’ Austin 7 engine with a 4 speed close ratio gearbox so it goes & stops better than most Austin 7’s.
