Seller's Description
In the later 1930's MG decided to build a series of luxury sedans. The first was the S series or 2 litre. Then the V or 1.5 litre and finally the W or 2.6 litre. They came in a variety of body styles and engines ended up a bit bigger. All 3 ceased production with the onset of WW2 and were never made again. From a total production of 5516 cars made 2740 sere the S type this being no 1965. This car is at the end of a very long restoration extending back over the last 3 owners. A huge amount of time and expense has gone into it and there is a mass of paperwork and pictures detailing all that has been done. Body restoration was done in the UK with much of the timber frame replaced and all rust removed. The car was imported to Australia in 2011 and enjoyed a quiet life till a mechanical rebuild was undertaken. Mechanically the car is now in perfect condition and should give the new owner many happy miles of motoring. Interior is still the original leather except for new seat bases for the front seats which are lower to allow for a tall driver. The original ones are with the car if you prefer to use those. Car will be unregistered as current club registration is not transferable. The car carried the same rego number its whole life and those plates are still with it. There are also Vic Roads personalized plates with that number if you want to go back to full reg. Car comes with full history and many photographs of the restoration.
