LH drive . Frame tag 118836 putting it in the slat grill range. Feb ‘42 build. Ground up restoration, wet sanding bonnet revealed USMC number 34277 . TAC diamond on rear bumpers was not legible. Have pics of all resto work. Zero rust. Has been confirmed by U.S jeep site it is a Marine Corp jeep. Tub is MD Juan repo everything else is original. Engine is wartime engine but has a Ford GPW 48243 stamping on block and has been painted as such. Original bolt kit sourced so all bolts have correct head markings. Engine and gearbox fully reconditioned and only 208 miles on speedo since resto. Original restored Slat speedo, early 30/30 amp gauge and the early “gas” gauge before they switched to a “fuel” marked gauge. Temp gauge is the only rare beast I could not find. Has front and rear lift rings and front tow horns which were specific to Marine Corps jeeps. Original split rims, have a set of solid rims they originally came with but have not got around to fitting. Will be supplied. Goodyear tyres fitted. Has one rare Owens Dyneto electric wiper motor for the driver, another Marine Corps specific item. No jerry can holder or glove box as it is a slat grill with a script tub. Is 12 volt, did have an alternator on it but have removed during resto and fitted generator. Complete new wiring harness fitted. Has removable wireless rechargeable indicators. If you are after a turn key and drive to car shows this is the one. Hate to think how much to restore one today. Top and windscreen cover supplied and are stored under passenger seat. Located in Geelong. Has non transferable club rego.
