Chassis No 816. One of 93 Allard M Type Drophead Coupes to survive. All Ford mechanicals. Ford flathead V8, 3 speed manual transmission. Been off the road for decades and restoration commenced many years ago on chassis and body. Full restoration required or would make an interesting hot rod. About 80% complete but all missing parts are readily available such as Lucas lights, switches, door handles, some engine accessories etc. Has been loosely assembled for transport. Many loose parts which are stored in the car. Sold new to Scotland and later shipped to the USA. Imported to Australia from New York in 2010. Sold as is. The Allard M Type was actually a successful rally car in its day, taking 4th place outright and the team prize on the 1948 Monte Carlo Rally. The final photo shows a restored M Type.
