1949 Mercury Coupe. Lincoln & Mercury were Both a Division of Ford Motor Company . Recent import from Indianapolis IN.. Car has very Minimal Body Issues . The Left Hand Inner rear 1/4 behind the LH B pillar Requires a patch about 10 inches by 3 . Which can be easily accessed. & both outside rocker panels have minor pin holes . Other than this, the Floor pans & body are Mint . The car has no engine & gearbox But has a Nine Inch fitted .The car is missing the side trim , Tail lights & headlight rims & hood Emblem. All the Upholstery is with the Car but will need to be redone . Near perfect Rear moulded armrests. . This car hasn't seen Daylight in more than 20 years . All the glass is with the car & the windows roll up & down , with the exception of the LH door glass that's vanished into the door somewhere . The doors are near mint with no rust Issues . Rh door shuts nice . LH Door has issues ( maybe the Catch ) .
This car would make an Excellent Restoration or Custom . All the ashtrays, Jesus straps & coat hooks are with the car . The Selector off the Column has been removed . Headliner bows are in place but no Cloth . This car is straight & has never been interfered with .
Inspection is Encouraged . Car is 40 KM East of Melbourne . with Import Approval . I can assist with Loading & prefer Cleared funds into a nominated account or Cash . Nothing to hide on this car .You wont find a better project !
