Still enjoyed today, the TF MG allows you to adapt to the true art of classic, analogue driving, which rewards your input and keeps you engaged, a far experience from modern overly assisted cars. This TF presenting in the two-tone combination of burgundy with white guards that was popular in the 70s and 80s, and is in very original period order throughout, with the bodywork straight and free of rust. The black leather interior is showing it’s age after 71 years, and is complimented with a black vinyl tonneau cover. The included hood will need some improvement to again be functional while the side screens are useable. Period extra’s of an aero screen, badge bar and driving lights further accentuate the desirability of the fine classic. The documented engine rebuild notes a re-sleeving and re-boring, to suit 69.5mm pistons, resulting in a capacity increase of 115cc to 1365cc, achieving far superior torque from the XPAG engine. Mechanically sound, with a lovely engine and smooth gearbox the TF performs well in traffic, capable of keeping up with the with the modern cars around it, however it is not geared for long cruises at 100+kph. With a handbook, extensive history file and documentation dating to 1981 this TF is ready for its next custodian to enjoy that classic 1950’s ‘wind in the hair’ motoring experience.
