1957 AUSTIN HEALEY 100/6 SN:3519 REG:SIX100 VIN:BN4044550 ENG:ICH44550 $76,500 (To be sold Unregistered & with Vic RWC) PROVENANCE, PATINA & LESS THAN 40,000 MILES! Flown to Australia in a Bristol Freighter this 100/6 was the Star Attraction of the 1957 Royal Adelaide Show, and earned itself the title of South Australia's first 6 Cylinder Austin Healey. The BN4 was such a hit, that after the Show it was gifted to a young lady by the name of Ruth Cowling, by her father, the major shareholder of Adelaide Motors, the then Austin Distributor for South Australia. Remaining in the Ruth's family for more than 50 years, over which time it was never modified or restored, with the only work carried out being minor cosmetic retouching and regular mechanical servicing. When displayed at the Austin Healey Owners Club Concours in 2009 held in Melbourne, this outstanding example was awarded the outright prize for Most Original Healey, to no surprise to many, as it had often been used by Healey Club members as a benchmark of originality when undertaking their own 100/6 restorations. With a genuine odometer reading of 39,981 miles after 60 years of use, this 100/6 has Impeccable Provenance, Fantastic Genuine Patina & huge Collectability potential – They are only Original Once!
