1958 AUSTIN HEALEY BN6 SN:4323 VIN:BN6/4044 ENG:26D/U/J73002 $60,000 (To be sold Unregistered & with Vic RWC) 2-SEAT FACTORY RIGHT HAND DRIVE 6 CYLINDER Introduced in August 1956, the new 6 Cylinder 100/6 Austin Healey was initially only available in ‘BN4’ 2+2 seat configuration, while the 2 Seat ‘BN6’, identifiable by its crinkle radiator grille with the Healey lightning flash badge on the left-hand side and bonnet top air intake was delayed until March 1958. The short production run until March 1959, totalled just 4,150 examples and due to their delay, all BN6’s were fitted with the uprated 12 port cylinder head, twin HD6 1¾” SU carburettors and a higher compression engine. This rare factory right hand drive BN6 is one of just 263 produced and is finished in the most desirable colour combination, of Healey Blue over Ivory White, with a complimentary white piped, dark blue interior trim featuring a wood rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel. This Healey is equipped with full weather equipment, including a light grey vinyl roof with sliding perspex side curtains as well as a blue vinyl full sized tonneau. Major mechanical and restoration works totalling $47K were completed in 2021-2022, including, but not limited to the installation of a new Dennis Welsh steering box, new rear shock absorbers, re-built front suspension and brakes, re-built trafficator, the addition of a thermo fan and new Dayton painted 48 spoke wire wheels and splines wearing new Michelin tyres.
