Cadillac adopted the Coupe de Ville tag as early as 1949, suggesting the model was designed for use in the town or city (de ville). By the late 1950s the model had gained huge tail fins and that classic, pillarless roof line.
All Cadillac models underwent major restyling and re-engineering for their launch in 1961 as a “second generation”. Standard equipment included power windows, two-way power seats, power brakes, power steering, windshield washers and dual speed wipers. Powering these machines was a 390ci (6.4L) overhead valve V8 coupled to a four- speed Hydra-Matic transmission.
This particular genuine dry example is in fine condition. It has an as-new interior with the seats finished in blue cloth and white vinyl. The white wall tyres suit the car perfectly. Inspection underneath (See Photos) shows an exceptional unrestored original car.
