Purchased in late 2006 and has been driven almost every day and performed flawlessly up until Feb this year. She has everything to make her the perfect daily driver including economical LPG and rego until 27 January 2012.

Serial No. 101221 Model No. 12122 Serial prefix FB51BUp until February this year, this was my everyday driver. My place of work changed and I ended up buying a newer model car because she wouldn’t fit into the car park! Since then, she’s seen hardly any use apart from the odd weekend jaunt, and since I have multiple cars, I’ve decided she needs to find a new home where she’ll be used and appreciated.

I have tried to keep this car as original as possible with the exception of the fitment of the LPG system and the fitment of disc brakes on the front, since she was my daily driver for three years. I still have the original drum brakes if the purchaser would like them.
With the car, you will also get three original hard-to-find Ford Compact Fairlane 500 Motor Repair Manuals (1962 Fairlane and Meteor Shop Manual, Ford Service Handbook 20401 ‘Fairlane body’, Ford Service Handbook 9502 ‘ Ford Single Barrel Carburettors’) plus the original Owner’s Manual which came with the car when it was new.

Car rolled off the assembly line at Broadmeadows on 24 December 1962.
Original owner from Cessnock NSW purchased car new from Kloster Pty Ltd in Newcastle in 1963
Second owner from Valentine NSW
Not sure how many owners in between, but two further owners were located through Compact Fairlane Owner’s Club of Australia contacts, two of which were in Brisbane.
