Seller's Description
Up for sale is an extremely rare Simca Aronde station wagon. These were imported to Australia as sedan CKD kits then converted to station wagons by Chrysler Australia in Keswick Adelaide. Arondes were very popular here in their day, achieving 1,2,3 in class in the inaugural 1960 Armstrong 500 at Phillip Island, later to become the Bathurst 500. This little wagon presents very well, being an older restoration, it drives and stops nicely and keeps up with traffic surprisingly well . Comes with original brochure, instruction manual and period Wheels magazines. Only 5 or 6 are known to survive in the world. All in all a really cool little collectable car with unique Australian motoring history . Excellent Shannons video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3N1Y6cTKFNo
