Seller's Description
1964 Chevy SS Malibu convertible The Chevy Chevelle Super Sport, or SS represented Chevrolet’s entry into the muscle car battle. Early 1964 and 1965 Chevelle had the option of the upscale Malibu trim and the Malibu SS badge was located on the rear quarter panel. After 1965, the Malibu SS badge was dropped except for those sold in Canada. This car is a genuine Malibu SS but has had quite a big build approx 7 years ago now… The original 396 has been replaced with a 502 with headers and an Edelbrock toquer manifold, 700R 4 speed automatic with 2500 stall converter, 12 bolt limited slip diff with 3:73 centre has this big girl cruising at 1900rpm at 100k’s… 4 wheel discs brakes, power steering, hydraulic brake assist, auto and steer coolers make everything a bit nicer and the body was removed from the chassis and all painted separately and reassembled at the time of the build. It also has 18” & 20” staggered Boyd Coddington wheels and custom leather trim with digital gauges. This would have been a very big dollar build in its day and still represents and a nice driving street car but shows a little age now it’s 7 years down the track. Selling on consignment.
