Austin-Healey 3000 HBJ8L/25368 Released in October 1964 the 3000 Mk3 BJ8 is the most sort-after of the Big Healeys due to its wind-up windows, timber dash, convertible soft-top and 148 bhp six-cylinder engine. Through to December 1967 a total of 17,711 BJ8s were built. For sale by a long-term Austin-Healey enthusiast is the 53rd BJ8 built. Sold new originally in California the seller imported the car to Australia where in his hands it received a complete restoration. The restoration was undertaken with one purpose in mind and that was touring. The car is fitted with full alloy panels, four-wheel disc brakes, five-speed Toyota gearbox, alloy wheels, hardtop and something very useful in the Australian climate, air conditioning.
