Just arrived - Another Holden arrives at Collectable Classics with this 1968 Holden HK Belmont. This car began its life in the Sydney production line, where it was fitted with a 161 (2.6L) 6-cylinder and a 3-speed manual transmission. The car was painted in Woodsman green with a green interior trim. Today, the car still runs its original 161 motor and transmission. The HK was repainted roughly 10 years ago in Black with a blue metallic, which looks brilliant in the sun, and the interior has been retrimmed to a catching red. The boot has been trimmed in a unique nature, though the panels can be easily removed and comes with the boot carpet if the purchaser wishes to return it to standard. The current owner has owned the HK for the last 8 years and has done a lot of work over that time. The front end has been upgraded to disc brakes, with a calliper kit fitted, front brake hoses replaced, rear brakes and rear wheel cylinders replaced, and a new brake master cylinder. The ball joints, tie rod ends, rear suspension bushes, exhaust system, wheel bearings, and seals have all been replaced. A carburettor kit, new clutch master and slave cylinder kits have all been fitted too. The HK is tidy but certainly not new; after all, it is 57 years old, and would make a great Aussie cruiser with enough room for the whole family.
