This Right Hand Drive import is believed to be for the Czechoslovakian Consulate or similar and believed to be the only one in Australia.
Uses mechanicals from existing models sold in Australia off the Octavia range. Car runs and drives, but it does seem to be fairly gutless. Mostly straight except for a dent in rear lower quater near bumper, rear bumper dented, no other major dents, a few scrapes .Rust needs some work .Grille and front bumpers although straight are peeling chrome and rusty, needing repair to chrome.
Trims and badges appear to be there, one rear tailight is damaged but could be repaired until new tailight was aquired, reflectors are original. 4 nice hubcaps, wider wheels on rear., Front windscreen is missing
The floor is sound due to its thick steel, rear floor is good and includes original wooden runners.
Woven cloth bench seats and are in usable condition.with some staining. Internal side trims look good, needing a clean up.. Dash looks all original with what looks like a period radio..
Includes a jack with handle, wheel nut remover which creates a long crank handle, plus a czech hand pump in original box.,
note: the rechromed front badge and bar, two separate pieces rechromed and in ready to bolt on condition.
odomometer...8613 miles, it needs restoration, its rare and its unreal.
Health problems mean I cannot restore anymore so I have lost interest in my Skodas after 25 years of collecting I'm letting go of these two Octavia Combi wagons. See also my Octavia Combis and my Felicia convertibles.
Skoda cars were sold in Australia from roughly late 40's, being an Australian delivered car and as such parts have long been available in Australia, with a Register [club like] dedicated to all vintage Skodas, parts are known through enthusiasts, like any other vintage car.
