The Ferrari 365 GTC4 is a very rare example from the Ferrari V12 canon of works, with only 505 examples ever built in the GTC4 configuration in 1971 and 1972. The investment potential and tremendous upside of this mint condition example lays testament to the passionate Ferrari enthusiasts who fastidiously kept, loved, and adored this vehicle. An outstanding example of excellence and the perfect collectable Ferrari that is steadily and constantly increasing in value day by day in line with Daytona models to which have doubled in value in the last few years. Vehicles of this calibre do not present themselves every day and this is an opportunity not to be missed.
The desirable and svelte sports car made its debut in March 1971 at the Geneva Motor Show. It was the first new 12-cylinder Ferrari model announced after Fiat’s takeover of road car production in 1969. The GTC4 featured a completely new body style which was very different from its predecessors and demonstrated a much more angular wedge design with low nose and retractable twin headlights. The GTC4 design featured a flowing front with plain body sides and a five-window cabin runs though the boot line to the neat Kamm tail. The steel body with aluminium bonnet and boot lid was designed, constructed, and trimmed by Pininfarina and then sent to Ferrari in Maranello for the fitting of the mechanical components. The Ferrari 365 GTC4 features a 4.4L 320 bhp, 4,390 cc dual overhead camshaft V-12 engine with a six Weber 38DCOE59/60A side-draft carburetors, reaching a top speed of 260 km/h.
Recently this GTC 4 has been fully restored with the highest attention of detail including a fully itemized and comprehensive list of complete engine maintenance, mechanical overhaul, and its regular servicing. During its restoration process, emphasis was placed on factory originality, and the car was repainted in its correct colour of Blue Ribot exterior and was lavishly re-appointed in its sumptuous Italian Tan leather interior with Black interior floor trim, factory branding floor mats and Factory-correct Cromodora wheels. After the restoration was completed, this vehicle went on to win 1st place in the Ferrari Club of Australia, Concorso d’Eleganza in 2016.
This is an example that will suit the most demanding fanatical collector, investor or enthusiast who understands and appreciates the attention detail in bringing this amazing Ferrari 365 GTC to its factory correctness.
