1974 triumph 2500 mk2 manual station wagon

Seller's Description
The Triumph 2500 PI Estate, or as we like to call it, the “station wagon with a bit of swagger” is a rare Kiwi classic that’s got more character than your uncle after a few Speights.
Styled by Italian design legend Giovanni Michelotti (yep, this wagon’s got European flair), it packs a 2.5-litre fuel-injected engine that gives it a decent bit of poke for the weekly grocery run.
Sure, back in the day the fuel injection had a few tantrums but these days, with modern parts and a bit of Kiwi know-how, they run smoother than a summer cruise down SH1.
Comfortable, classy, and just a touch cheeky, the Triumph 2500 PI Estate is one of those underrated classics that’ll have people saying, “You don’t see many of those around anymore!” and they’d be right.

2500 PI so a 2.5 - liter fuel injected, straight-six engine, which was a significant upgrade over the standard 2000 model.

These were styled by Giovanni Michelotti and the estate version offers a practical and spacious alternative to the standard saloon.

These cars were praised for their comfortable ride - they came with all-around independent suspension with coil springs.
Note: Odometer states Kms and we would guess its been round being a 5 digit odometer.
This model is a Mk2 - a refreshed version featuring a redesigned front end inspired by the Triumph Stag and an updated interior layout. The wood trim and instrumentation were also revised.
A very rare classic car, that is relatively straight forward to maintain. The 2500 PI is smooth and powerful plus it offers good handling, and a comfortable ride. These cars enjoy the benefit of a strong enthusiast community, providing support and spare parts.
These estate version of the 2.5 PI were run down and left production by the end of 1974, making that model year one of the last for this specific variant. Estate versions were produced in much lower numbers than the saloons, and in some markets like Australia, were not sold new at all, adding to their scarcity.
The appreciation value of a 1974 Triumph 2500 PI estate is a function of its rarity and growing status as a desirable classic. Prices for well-maintained, running examples can vary - depending on condition and history. Values for these Triumphs have been steadily appreciating as enthusiasts recognize their unique blend of luxury, performance, and Michelotti styling.
In summary, the 1974 2500 PI Mk2 estate is a rare classic that offers good potential for continued appreciation, particularly for vehicles that are in good overall condition.
