Hard to find Genuine VW 1974 Karmann Ghia Convertible in wonderful and usable condition with the original owner Handbook and other authenticating documentation.
It is not perfect but the Interior is excellent as is the Cabriolet top. Paint and chrome are in good condition in keeping with the car’s age and it drives as it should. Looks great in Signal red and seems to spark positive comments and attention.
The vehicle underwent a thorough restoration and conversion in the early 2000's. It has retained its original 1600cc engine and the VW Stickshift semi-automatic transmission, which although quirky, engages a manual driver (like me) as well as being easy to use for automatic drivers.
The car has a good service history, near new tires etc. It is on QLD Registration with personalised plates.
This car is a very usable classic and easily taken to the next level. Sadly for me, needs dictate that it is time to pass this classic on to the next caretaker to just enjoy.
