this car is an MP Lafer. not a kit or replica car. made in Brazil. 4300 were made. around 3000 still around. this car maybe the only one in Australia. it is rare. most were LHD. this is RHD. started in 1974 to 1990. all hand built. full fiberglass body on VW type 1 running gear. do the research on google. had this car for 10 yrs. did a lot of work on it. revamped engine, new Tyres, customed interior, new front brakes, changed location of spare Tyre. I was going to do a re-spray and a new roof. just didn't get around to it. it's great to drive and is always an eye catcher. Old style driving. Parts are easy to get. (just Kampers) is where I get the parts from. it's a regretful sale but I rarely drive it anymore. needs to go to someone who can finish what I started. genuine people interested only. No Tyre kickers please. I have it on historical Plates which is cheap to run and insured through Shannons which is also cheap. call me if you have questions. The motor is pumped out to a 1800cc with individual carbs to assist the extra power. This model car is featured in the James Bond movie Moonraker with Roger Moore. This is a fun car to have.
