This elegant 1978 Land Rover 109 Series 3 is very stylish and handles like a dream. Only travelled 5521km since rebuild. Original 2.3 Land Rover engine with an original Fairy overdrive installed (yes 100kph speed is achievable) Complete instrument cluster replacement, new carburettor servicing a dual fuel system. Completely new braking system and parabolic 2-inch lift suspension system installed by Pedder. Steering system fully refrubished. Radiator core completely rebuilt. Rebuilt front differential. Differential breathing tubes installed for proper 4x4 driving. 32 inch mudder tyres fitted. Starter motor replaced. Manual hand crank behind the driver’s seat. Led upgraded headlights for safe night driving. This Landy comes with a huge number of spares and upgrades ready to be bolted on, including: Spare Ute hard top cupola. Spare rear differential. NOW FOR THE BAD STUFF This Landy needs a paint job and has a few dings. There is paint peeling around the car as can be seen in the attached photos. Also, the rear left bumper bar has been pushing in slightly, as has the steel firewall frame where the driver’s door has damaged the firewall due to the lack of a door travel arrestor. Apart from these minor issues the chassis is straight and true.
