Just arrived - This 1979 MGB LE is rare and unique. MG celebrated the end of one of Britain's most popular sports cars with a Limited Edition version for the North American market. A total of 6,682 MGB LEs were produced, available only in black with silver limited edition body stripes, and GKN 14' 5 spoke wheels. The LE also came with a front air dam spoiler, tonneau cover, chrome luggage rack, a leather-padded 3-spoke steering wheel, and a few other goodies. This MGB was imported to Australia by the MG Car Club and last sold by Collectable Classics in 1995. Powered by the standard 1.8L 4-cylinder motor, the MGB is attached to a 4-speed manual gearbox. It was converted to RHD and, otherwise, remains largely original. Sporting the original colour combination, the MGB has a full black interior with the original steering wheel and an upgraded Kenwood radio. A soft-top convertible roof is accompanied by a tonneau cover, which makes the MGB perfect for year-round cruising. The MGB is completed by a small file of history, documenting that the MGB has undergone recent servicing. It has also recently received a new water pump and gearbox mounts. The MGB is tidy, though, at 46 years of age, it is certainly not new. Drive and enjoy, make a few upgrades, or completely restore it for a concourse vehicle; this little car holds a lot of potential.
