Just arrived - This 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is a lovely American classic. This Trans Am was delivered new from Hageman Pontiac in Cincinnati, Ohio. US registration places the car in California for a large portion of its history, before it was imported to Australia in 2011. Driven from the factory by a 6.6L V8, the Trans Am is paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. It was ordered in Solar Gold with a custom-order velour Camel Tan interior that featured air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, colour-coded seat belts, front and rear floor mats, and a Delco AM/FM radio. Other options include the WS6 'Special performance package', additional insulation, and an electric rear window defroster. Today, the Trans Am has been very well maintained. It shows evidence of an older respray, and the interior is in wonderful condition for its age. Open the bonnet to a tidy engine bay, and admire the original gold Snowflake wheels. This Trans Am comes with a small history file and is registered here in SA. Eligible for historic registration, you can enjoy minimal on-road costs as well as cruises with like-minded enthusiasts.
