1986 DE TOMASO PANTERA GT5-S. Original factory wide-bodied Pantera GT5-S, one of only 120 made. It is Serial No. 9402. The revised "ground effect" styling, followed by the updated limited edition GT5-S in 1985. Wilkinson Pantera in California replaced the 5.7lt push rod V8 engine with a high spec 4.6lt quad cam with an intercooled Whipple supercharger, which makes it lighter and more powerful. When I first got the car, it reputably had over 600hp in a car that's a little more than a Toyota Corolla. Local WA Bathurst racer, Tim Slako, remapped the computer and changed things to a low-boost sensible 450hp. The car is based in Perth.
