25th Corvette Nats scheduled for Easter 2013
Held over the Easter long weekend, this year's Corvette Nationals are tipped to be a very special affair. Event hosts, the Corvettes Down Under Car Club, have confirmed more than 100 Corvettes are already registered, with more expected.
In a first for the Corvette Nationals, the Easter Toowoomba event will feature a special guest from the USA. Eric Millette is an assembly line manager from the Corvette plant at Bowling Green, Kentucky. With the C7 Corvette just released, Eric's insights into manufacturing 'America's Sports Car' are not to be missed!
The 25th Corvette Nationals kicks off on Friday, March 29 with registration, a welcome BBQ and special evening presentation before a weekend packed with activities.
The public can check out the 'Vettes during a special Show 'n' Shine on Saturday, March 30, from 9:00AM to 3:00PM. This is tipped to be the largest gathering of Corvettes in Australia this year. Models on display will range from the classics of the 1950s, right up to the latest C6 ZR1 supercar. The central location for the public display is at the Village Green, off Ruthven St., Toowoomba. Public entry is free.
Living up to the 'Drive your Dream in Twenty 13' slogan for this year's Nationals, a drive day on Sunday, March 31, at Morgan Park Raceway, Warwick, will allow Corvette owners to pit their cars against the clock, all under the expert instruction of well-known racer and multiple Nations Cup champ, Paul Stokell.
If racing's not your thing, there's an alternative cruise to the beautiful Darling Downs region, with lunch at Rudd's Pub in Nobby, followed by a special dinner and track day presentation that evening.
