Black Magic
Delilah, the 1969 HT Monaro to be given away by Classics is a factory GTS, fitted with a 253 V8, four-speed manual transmission and 3.08 diff. Fully restored, Delilah is wrapped in Phantom Black with Platinum GTS striping, plus the correct GTS bonnet, guards, grille and badging. She rolls on a set of 15-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels.
Inside, Sandalwood vinyl seat trim with Houndstooth cloth inserts provide a nice contrast to the black exterior. This extends to the door cards, headlining and colour-keyed seat belts to add a real touch of class to the cabin.
With a factory-spec drivetrain, suspension and brakes, plus a comfortable interior, Delilah is made to cruise in style, but that 253 means she has plenty of get-up-and-go, too.
A multi-time participant in the Monaro Nationals, Delilah has caught the eye of judges every time, including on her debut at the 2012 Monaro Nationals in WA, where she scored the Entrant’s Choice award.
Delilah’s also appeared in the music video for Liam Kennedy-Clark’s ‘I Don’t Wanna Grow Up’.
