Audi A3 sedan now in Australia
Despite being from the same family as the A3 Sportback, the sedan shares no body panels with its hatchback sibling.
Four variants are available initially, with pricing starting at $39,800 (plus on road costs) for the 'Attraction' trim level A3 sedan, a $4,000+ premium over the entry level Sportback. Three alternatives, all in 'Ambition' spec, range from $44,800 up to $47,800 for the range-topping 132kW 1.8 TFSI quattro S tronic.
The entry-level A3 Attraction comes with a 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine, while the choice of a 1.8-litre version of same, or a 2.0-litre turbodiesel, is available for the Ambition-spec sedans. Audi's 7-speed S tronic dual clutch auto is fitted to all the petrol-engined sedans, while a 6-speed DSG auto is matched to the turbodiesel.
