AUDI A4 LAUNCHED

The all new Audi A4 is Audi's most important new car. It is our brand ambassador and the best known car in our range worldwide. Audi has produced and sold more than 8.5 million A4's since it first went into production in 1972 and I am confident that this new model will make a major contribution to our sales success, said Audi's managing director, Joerg Hofmann.

The A4 launches with two new turbo diesel (2.0 and 2.7 litre) and two petrol (1.8 and 3.2 litre) engines.

They are mated to either a six speed manual, multitronic or sequential shift transmission or in the 3.2-litre petrol, with quattro permanent four-wheel drive.
