Audi announce limited edition TTS Competition
Available in coupe and roadster versions, the TTS Competition will feature a 200kW engine, 19-inch 'Rotor' alloy wheels, and exclusive Steel Grey leather interior with Imola Yellow accents. Exterior colours are limited to Imola Yellow and Nimbus Grey.
Production of the TTS Competition is set to commence from October, and will be limited to only 500 units. Audi Australia are currently gauging local customer interest to determine if they will bring any units here.
The 'Impulse' leather interior package features edges dyed Imola Yellow, with the same shade used for the contrasting stitching. Aluminium badges on the door trims are embossed with "1 of 500" script. A contoured leather steering wheel and rear parking assist (not standard on the TTS) are other features.
Powering the limited edition is the TTS's stock 2.0 TFSI engine, that delivers 200 kW and 350 Nm, with power sent to the road through a six-speed S tronic dual-clutch auto via Audi's quattro permanent all-while drive. A manual is optional.
In coupé spec, the TTS Competition accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds (5.5 seconds with manual transmission) on to an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h. Average fuel consumption is listed at 7.7 litres per 100 kilometres with the S tronic, or 7.9 litres per 100 kilometres with the manual.
The roadster's figures, with the six-speed S tronic, are 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, and 5.7 seconds with the manual. The Roadster consumes 7.9 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres when equipped with the S tronic and 8.1 litres per 100 kilometres with the manual.
Audi Australia currently imports the TT and performance TTRS variants, but will gauge customer interest before a decision is made on whether to import the TTS Competition.
