Autobella, Melbourne
As you would expect, the Fiat 500 - classic 500, that is - was well represented, as were a number of other Fiat models, but what was surprising was the appearance of a pair of the Alfa-based Giocattolos.
These vehicles have an almost mythic status now, and have become a rare sight at any car event following the demise of Todd Wilkes in the original 'Judge' Giocattolo in 2001. So to see two (of the approximately 15 total) was a real highlight.
The 'Race-spec' Fiat Abarths were standouts, as was the Lancia Delta Integrale fully decked out in WRC Martini livery.
JUST CARS personal highlight from the show was the sleek Fiat 2300S coupe pictured below. This vehicle is 40+ years old, but still looks good - great, actually!
Each year, Autobella manages to put on something special with a great variety of cars plus a few surprises - this year was no exception!
