Brisbane International Motor Show 2008

Visitors to the show will be the first in Australia to see the new Subaru Impreza WRX STi (right top) in the metal. The turbocharged, all wheel drive STi, the roadgoing basis for Subaru's asssault on the 2008 World Rally Championship, will be making one of its first appearances outside Japan since debuting at the Tokyo Motor Show. The STI will have a rival for the attention of Japanese performance fans in the form of the rakish new Mitsubishi Lancer Evo (right bottom), which had its World launch at last year's Sydney Motor Show. Those of an exotic persuasion will have their desires satisfied by the sleek Maserati GranTurismo, a four-seater, V8-powered exotic appearing for the first time in RHD form. The GranTurismo will share the floor with high-priced, high-tech machines from Audi, Maserati, Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini. Shannons will hold their inaugural display at this year's BIMS, followed by a classic auction, while motorcycles from Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki will also be on show.
