Hummer H3 hits Queensland

Zupps Mt Gravatt was appointed as a Hummer Dealer in February 2007 and since being given the franchise, has found that the Queensland market is a good one for Hummers, with more than 70 orders on their books for the new H3. After a delay of some two months, deliveries of the Hummer H3 have now started. Zupps first H3 customer took delivery of his new vehicle on September 20, and has been raving about it ever since! The H3 was chosen as the model for Australia as it was showing stronger growth and acceptance compared to its larger siblings, the H1 and H2.

The H3 range will eventually be expanded with additional body styles including the future possibility of a V8 and turbo diesel option. A new assembly plant was built in South Africa to cater for RHD markets and the demanding European market. This has proved to be successful as evidenced by the excellent fit & finish of the vehicle's components. The unusual all-alloy 3.7ltr 5 cylinder engine was chosen by GM for its high torque characteristics. This unit has been proven in its ability to provide power & low down grunt in even the worst off road conditions. GMH - and Zupps! - are confident the highly manoeuvrable and tractable H3 will be perfectly suited to Australia's urban and outback environments.
